2006
The Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut would like to extend many thanks to all who attended our annual spring gala, “Carnivàle,” on April 8th, 2006 at the Riverside Yacht Club. The evening was a tremendous success due to the commitment and enthusiasm of the individuals, donors and sponsors involved. Over 300 guests enjoyed the fine food and dancing as well as the chance to participate in both silent and live auctions.
The evening raised about $260,000 to support the vital community mental health services the
Child Guidance Center provides for children, teenagers and their families in Stamford, Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan. We would especially like to thank the Stamford Police Department’s
Lt. Beth Erickson of the Youth Services Bureau for highlighting how our professional staff works closely with police to help children and adolescents affected by crime, violence and other traumatic events.
We would also like to thank our event committee, in particular Jane Dean and Christine Keen, as well as our Board of Directors who have committed their time and resources to ensure the continuation of the Center’s important work. We are also grateful to our corporate sponsors – Aon Re; BevMax International; Cummings & Lockwood, LLC; Deloitte & Touche U.S.A., LLC; General Electric Company; Kelley, Drye & Warren, LLP; Kobrand Corporation; KPMG, LLP; Mercer Oliver Wyman; Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP; Pitney Bowes, Inc.; RBS Greenwich Capital; Sandak, Hennessey & Greco, LLP; Sempra Commodities Corporation; Stamford Marriott & Agora Spa; and The Thompson Corporation – without whom the evening would have not been possible. Last but not least, we wish to thank everyone who donated the wonderful goods and services for our silent and live auctions which sparked the event’s excitement and success.
Funds raised at “Carnivàle” help ensure that we can continue to provide professional and culturally sensitive mental health services to more than 2,000 children and teens each year. Thanks again to all who had a hand in the event and whose support means a great deal to the families and communities we serve.
